Like most people on this thread I felt the need to post here my thanks, congratulations and air my need for more of The Lost Fleet, especially when i saw the author himself popped in now and again to say howdy.
I picked up the original 6 Lost Fleet books and the first of the Beyond The Frontier series on Wednesday and I just finished Dreadnought about 15mins ago. I am loving this series and cant wait for the next installment ! Seriously, i don't know when the next release is (while trawling online to find out i stumbled on this page) but it really can't come soon enough for my liking. After immersing myself in the Geary universe for the last 5 days, i want more and i want it now :-)

I started the series at book, and just had to go back to the beginning and read through to the end of book 6. To say that I'm totally engrossed in this series is an understatement. I could quible about the sense of physics and navigation as my personal belief is that these aspects will be far more entelligengtly applied in such a advanced culture, but I wont. Basing futuristic sciences on current knowledge / application adds a certian charm and adventure to the story line. Otherwise a somewhat sterile storyline discribing futuristic applications of physics would ensue if applying/ describing such futurustic (probably impossible to characterize) physics understanding. It would be like writing a book on particle physics and having a 18 centry reader try to follow it. I'm eagerly awaiting two things from this series. 1- a computerized game applying the story line and antiquated but cool (never done in a computer game before) physics, and 2-book 7. I simply cannot wait to see what happens with the lost fleet in it's new arena of conflict.

Exactly 2 more weeks before the first book in the new series is available! Need to finish what I'm reading now quickly. Also, supposedly available in hard cover which is a nice change.

I've been listening to the "Lost Fleet" series on MP3 downloaded from Audible.com. I've really enjoyed them so far (on book 5). However, the personal relationship with Dauntless' captain and the political officer gets really old. Let's hope the next series stays focused on the action and less on the personal relationship/romance. The whining gets really old. I enjoy the space battles but seeing them from some of the other folks perspectives other than Black Jack's (other captains, maybe the Syndics) would put an interesting twist on the story.

Loved the series. So far. Why do people on my side of the pond have to wait up to a year? Just got Book 4 in March 2011. What happened to globalisation?

Please John. Leave the romance alone. Not your thing. Heading for the Bad Sex award. And E.E. Doc Smith would sue about the space battles, if he was still alive. Fortunately, he was a crap writer and you're a good one.

Overall, I've worked a lot with the Royal Navy and this all rings true. Just one thing is missing: on the bridge there is ALWAYS a man in overalls pulling wiring out from behind the panels. "Sorry Sir, but you're going to have to clear off." Where is he?

Cdr. I loved your books. As soon as I read Dauntless, I updated my Kindle to buy the rest. Could not put it down. Two requests, please ask your publisher to put your new books on the kindle so I do not have to agonize over waiting for the book 7. And second, keep writing about Black Jack. I have enjoyed every part of these series and think you hit a home run.
Thanks again.

Finished book 6 - "Victorious" last night. WOW, what a great finish and set up for the sequels. One little nit pick, saw the enemy's fake bogeys coming, nicely handled, but still saw it coming. LOVE this series, may read them again before April.
